As told by Randy's wife Juliana Walker:

"Randy C. Walker, Jr. is 25 years old and this is his first deployment. Before he decided to join the Marines he graduated from the Law Enforcement Academy at Indian River State College in Florida where he was the platoon leader for his class. He went through bootcamp at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He moved from there to Infantry Training at Camp Giger in South Carolina and then on to Basic Reconnaissance Course in Camp Pendleton, California. He's the kind of person that people naturally follow - he's a great leader and amazing motivator.

Just recently after some changes in leadership, Randy was appointed to be ATL (assistant team leader) for his team. He was also recently chosen to complete a pre-sniper course and hopes to go to Sniper school when he gets home.

Randy has competed in numerous marathons, triathlons, adventure races, road cycling races mountain bike races and strongman events. He's an incredible athlete, complete goofball most of the time and a wonderful husband.

He and I decided to elope in July after three years of dating. We wanted to get married before he left for deployment so we're hoping to have a wedding sometime when he gets home. His friends from his company are planning on coming to the wedding wearing suspenders, aviators and their 'Merica's - it's going to be hilarious!"
